After 52 years of hearing aids, these are the worst hearing aids ever!

1Obtained 0n 3/27/18 thru Hearing Specialty Group (is now Live Better hearing) 2 Nuear hearing aids Model 1000 Wris BTE. Insurance paid $3324.89 for the 2. Hearing Specialty group did not recommend any other aids to choose from that would help my hearing after I had ask them for options. Occasional long whistling sounds while riding in the car from both aids. Random beeps from just about any activity i.e. walking, eating, watching tv etc.. mostly from the left aid but occurs in both. Very annoying. Used an old set of molds in good shape and had another brand new set of molds made to try and solve the problem. Had 2 adjustment visits. Tried same 4 molds on previous older hearing aids from a diff. company and those aids work fine without any whistling or beeps . In hindsight, aids should have been returned within the 3 month return period, but I was optimistic that new molds would work. Thus, I can conclude that these Nuear aids are the worst aids I have ever used in my 52 years of behind the ear hearing aids!

Nu Ear are pure junk hearing aids

Went to Acute hearing to investigate hearing aids on May 2018. Sold me on a $6,000 pair. Latest technology and best thing out. They are a total disappointment. After many follow visits they never performed anything like they said. No improvement in hearing in crowd or watching TV. In the 10 months I owned them either one or both were sent back numerous times for repair. Probably been out of service 5 of the10 months I had them. They periodically fall out of my ear. Added tab to keep left one but no help. Both of them fell out on a tile floor. Completely demolished them. Going back again tomorrow because neither one are working. On random visit to office last week clerk said technician has to check but probably send back in for repairs. My suggestion is run and don't look back from Nu Ear

One hearing aid music is a lot louder then the other one when I put them in. right one has A tinny sound all the time Can't understand what people say Can't hear what's said on TV Had them adjusted about a dozen times no different in Quality Very poor quality for the money $6000 plus

Please note that my complaint is with Nuear, nor my hearing aid provider. They have worked diligently to try and get these hearing aids to work. The poor customer service is from Nuear, NOT Hearing Aid Consults!

I purchased nuear hearing aids because I have a profound hearing loss in the left ear and perfect hearing in my right ear. These hearing aids were supposed to "cros" over and allow my brain to think I was hearing out of my left ear when wearing both hearing aids. They do not work. They were extremely expensive, and are now in the box unused. I had previously used a Telex ACT CROS which worked perfectly. Only replaced it because the hearing aid that fits in my right ear is large and unsightly. Going back to the TELEX, Nuear was a waste of money and lots of time trying to get them to work. I would never recommend this product - or ever purchase them again! Dr. Jean Curtit

My husband got hearing aides from Nu-Ear.He was told it’s a 30 day trial.If anything goes wrong he will get every penny back,no exceptions.He got the aids put in.We paid 2100.00 plus $500.00 (for a trial)? We stopped at a store and went home.After a few minutes he noticed that one aid that the technician put in was gone.We could not find it.We called and the tech named Heidi McKay took no responsibility .She was unprofessional,showed no concern,insisted that she put it in right and we have to pay another $1000.00 for the lost aide.I reminded her about the 30 day trial no questions asked and that she was the one who made the molds and put the aides in.She said too bad- you owe the money no matter what. We had tried a different place previously.They didn’t charge a penny until the 30 day period was over.Those didn’t feel right.We cancelled and never owed a penny.How could they expect my senior citizen husband to pay $ 4500.00 for a hearing aide that fell out obviously d/t poor fit or poor insertion.She said your husband said they were comfortable so that means they were correctly placed.If the aid was correct HOW could it just fall out without even being touched?Now we are out this large amount of money and was told we still owed a balance.Is this fair business procedure?

The worst I've ever had

From the second week that I've had these Nuear hearing aids I have had problems with the quality, and performance of them. Tinny sound, then no sound, wire connections breaking, batteries lasting 1 to 2 DAYs at most, these are junk.

After a year of frustration with the provider, who isn't around anymore I found a solution.

Hal Fishbein of Boca Raton, FL repaired them, he is reputible, reliable and as I am a retiree on Social Security is very affordable.

If you have Nuear hearing aids, first I'm sorry that you probably get screwed too, secondly contact Hal Fishbein.com and see if he can help you, lastly I am in no way associated with him, but he helped me so much I felt compelled to let the hearing impaired world know about him.

Over one year, no complaints

Had my ears tested two different audiologist same result. One recommended Nuear. Went that direction with no regrets. I do think there are comparable aids for less money if you do the research. Make sure they are not just amplifiers...

Can not hear sometime the dr put a new end on them that cost two or three hundred dollard that kept falling out of my ear that took about two to three hours in his office then told i might have to be refitted

Audiologist won't replace tubing.

My audiologist said my aids, Nu Ear Rhapsody lite 1200 OTE, are too old and won't give me tube replacements anymore and wants me to have a hearing test. I feel trapped because if I don't need new aids I can't use the old without the new tubes.

Buying new hearing aids is not an option for me right now. I can't find out where to buy new tube replacements. Can someone give me information on how to buy new tubes?

Can I get them on the net, can I go to another audiologist, will the company send me new ones? Thanks in advance for any helpful information.

Novice to Hearing Aids

I began experiencing difficulty hearing and was recommended to a local audiologist and discovered I had 50% loss in my left ear and about 25% loss in my right ear. Being new to this scenario I had decided I wanted the over-the-ear aids but ended up snookered into the in-ear model of NuEar. I paid nearly $5,000 for a set. I was NEVER able to wear the right one as they could never adjust it so that it seemed "normal" and they blamed it all on me being too picky. The left one I wore for 3 years and as long as I only wore the left one, it seemed to minimize all the white noise that overpowered my ability to hear when wearing both. Upon the first year anniversary I began getting regular sales pitches thru the mail from the audiologist office asking me to upgrade and pay at discounted rates of $2,500 ... in addition to trying to upsell me a battery program initially. It was not about restoring my quality of life but a way to support an aggressive income stream for lifestyle habits of the rich and famous. I'm so disappointed as the aid no longer works and insurance does not cover replacement of hearing aids. I do not have the money to invest again for a quality of life.

Had mine 4 years in for repair 1st time 2 days after purchase. Should have returned these lemins then. Both are not working and an left without being able to hear. $250. For repairs again... i think Not.

Con artist company seller for the manufacturer

I am having problem with mine had to send left ear off for repair and now my right ear the strength of power not there suddenly get real loud then drop back down low I have had the new girl working in office she vacuumed it out some wax.. the owner and son who never have time to listen I have scheduled appointments serveral times no show went as far to call other office next county over.. talk to receptionist suggest come in next day if I couldn't get in local office so I call back their main office (family's own) and got a recording and I left message asking to contact me back for an appointment well guess no reply sad things is I just purchased both ear in March ...I am one tick off lady I am trying to call or find out who to contact the manufacturer they go thru.. My previous pairs I purchase 3 yrs ago the right never fit kept coming out I complaint oh it normal was told that this seller was using older aid for pocket moneys who know if this a good products then the manufacturer need to be looking in on these complaints. I WILL NOT Be using this company again I Will take my moneys and insurance else where even got rips off for the purchased price and I have been wearing all my life do to an childhood disease

intro 4 wirless nuear

Volume cannot be changed manually but will go loud on its own. When I push the rocker it will beep and go from one to five beeps but no change in audio.

NuEar - Hearing Aid Review

I have had my nuear hearing aids for 2 .5 years. The right one has never fit.

I have complained at each check up. I was always to blame. Put in wrong. Or you have to much hair, or just a plank look.

Today it fell out and I didn't feel it fall out. Now I'm minus a right hearing aid. I have worn hearing aids for 15 years and never have I lost one. I will never use by this brand again.

I bought NuEar aids in August 2018 and was shocked to be told in August 2019 that I would owe hundreds of dollars for insurance and future office visits since the one year warranty expired. This was not disclosed in my contract. I'm not going back to the dispenser since this strikes me as deceptive.

My husband is on his 3 pair of NuEar aids, and he can't hear anything. He thinks he can but he can't. Causing a lot of trouble because he wants to stick with the people who keep selling this junk They are cleaning up on high prices without helping people to hear, from the complaints I'm reading.
